Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, the Honourable Dr Dele Henry Alake, has recorded a special invitation and welcome message to the delegates and visitors of the upcoming Nigeria Mining Week, taking place in Abuja from 18–20 November. The Honourable Minister Alake will present a ministerial keynote address during the opening session on Tuesday, 19 November.

In the run-up to what has become a veritable annual mining invasion in the Nigerian capital, the Minister said, “It is my singular honour and privilege to invite you to this year’s Nigeria Mining Week at the Abuja Continental Hotel.”

He added: “As the premier event shaping Nigeria’s mining landscape, this ninth annual conference and expo will bring together mining professionals, industry leaders, international investors, government officials and over 60 solution providers from across the globe under the theme: ‘From the inside out: Building the mining sector to be the cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy.’

The Honourable Dr Dele Henry Alake said he looked forward to welcoming the delegates and visitors and that their participation presented an “opportunity to connect, collaborate and transform the future of mining in Nigeria.”

The Ministry of Solid Minerals Development is the official host of Nigeria Mining Week, which is organised by the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) in collaboration with PwC Nigeria and Vuka Group.
