The 2017 Zambia Mining Investment Forum opens on Tuesday in London with Minister of Mines Christopher Yaluma as the official speaker.

Mr. Yaluma is expected to give an overview of development and status of the country’s mining sector, during the one-day event.

Top of the agenda is outlook of the mining sector in Zambia and investment opportunities.

This is as Zambia begins to implement the economic recovery and stabilisation problem, which Minister of Finance, Felix Mutati says is home grown, but very much with support from the International Monetary Fund -IMF.

Mr. Yaluma is expected to discuss the future of mining investment exploits, as well as other diversified mining investment opportunities in the country, beyond the traditional copper.

Tom Albanese, Chief Executive Officer for Vedanta Resources, the parent company of Konkola Copper Mines -KCM- will present the key note address to the forum.

ZCCM-IH Chief Executive Officer, Pius Kasolo will also be among notable speakers.
