The Land-Linked Zambia Conference and Exhibition whose theme is, “Reconnecting Within & Beyond our Borders for Sustainability”, slated for the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, is set to take off on Thursday December 2 through to the 3rd, with the official opening of the event being graced by the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. Frank Tayali, MP.
Like never before, the event has stirred and drawn interest among six (06) countries namely, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the host country-Zambia, and Mozambique will be attendance to do business with the Zambian transport & logistics industry players.
The event aims to ensure Africa’s trade is unhindered, especially following the commencement of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area, in January of this year, 2021 whose objective is to accelerate regional economic, political and social integration through the establishment of free trade area. Trading with participating countries and others, will be eased with successful projects like the Kazungula Border Post, and the long awaited Kasomena-Mwenda toll-road and bridge.
We also wish to share that, the inclusion of Copperbelt Province players in the build up launch in held in Ndola earlier this month, has seen the event attract a large number of participants from the Province and underline its status as the transport hub of Zambia.
As we may all be aware, the advent of COVID-19 requires that we adhere to strict health guidelines set up by the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organisation.
