Sandvik has secured a major underground mining equipment fleet order from JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd for deployment at Khoemacau Copper Mine in Botswana, the company said.

The order, booked in the second quarter of 2026, is valued at approximately SEK 650 million. It covers a full fleet of underground loaders, trucks and drills, alongside digital monitoring solutions, including Remote Monitoring Service.

The package also features AutoMine® technology for selected loaders and parts of the drill fleet, aimed at improving efficiency, safety and operational control in deep-level mining operations.

“We are very pleased to deepen our partnership with JCHX at the Khoemacau Copper Mine and look forward to support the expansion of the underground mining operations with our leading solutions, combining advanced equipment, services and digital solutions,” said Mats Eriksson, President of business area Mining at Sandvik.

Khoemacau Copper Mine is a major underground operation located in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt, where significant expansion work is underway. Deliveries of the equipment are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with the bulk expected between 2026 and 2028 as underground production scales up.
