South African crushing and screening equipment specialist Pilot Crushtec has introduced the latest generation TwisterTrac VS350E mobile vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher, offering substantial improvements in productivity and sustainability.
The advanced model, recently delivered to UK-based Ovenden Earthmoving, boasts up to 50% higher production rates than its predecessor, marking a significant milestone in VSI crusher technology.
With a legacy spanning over 15 years, the TwisterTrac VS350 series has become renowned for its reliability and performance in diverse crushing applications.
The new VS350E builds on this track record with a host of upgrades, including an entirely redesigned chassis and engine mount, improved dust suppression, and enhanced access to maintenance areas.
According to Francois Marais, sales and marketing director at Pilot Crushtec, these improvements were designed in direct response to customer feedback and evolving industry demands.
“Our latest generation TwisterTrac VS350E delivers unmatched performance in both energy efficiency and material throughput,” he said.
Among its standout features is the VSI crusher’s ability to deliver fine, consistently graded material ideal for road construction, concrete aggregates, and manufactured sand.
In the case of Ovenden Earthmoving, the machine is deployed to produce GSB (granular sub-base) for road building — a key component in the UK’s ongoing infrastructure projects.
Marais emphasized that the TwisterTrac VS350E now offers a production boost of up to 50%, reducing the number of crushing units required on-site and lowering operational costs.
“This higher throughput not only increases productivity but also reduces fuel consumption per tonne, making it a more environmentally responsible choice,” he added.
The machine is also more user-friendly, with enhanced hydraulic systems and real-time diagnostics to streamline operation and servicing. These refinements contribute to reduced downtime and greater reliability in demanding work conditions.
Backed by more than two decades of vertical shaft impactor expertise, the TwisterTrac VS350E reflects Pilot Crushtec’s ongoing commitment to innovation.
The company has delivered over 250 TwisterTrac units globally, and the newest model is expected to extend this legacy further.
As construction and mining sectors increasingly prioritise both efficiency and sustainability, equipment like the TwisterTrac VS350E is setting a new standard.
Its combination of high output, lower emissions, and operational versatility positions it as a valuable asset for forward-thinking contractors worldwide.
