Some of the continent’s most
successful and exciting mining houses as well as leading industry service
providers will join at least four mining ministers from the region for the
inaugural East & Central Africa Mining Forum that kicks off
in Kigali on Monday.
Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) is the latest
mining industry expert that has partnered with the event. They will join
regional
mining pioneers such as Ivanhoe, TechMet, Montero Mining and Walkabout
Resources and share their experiences in the field, current success stories and
future plans for the region during the two-day conference and exhibition.
The conference programme also features a ministerial panel, during which the
Zimbabwean mining minister and South Sudan’s undersecretary for mining as well
as the CEO of the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum & Gas Board (RMB) will discuss
regional mineral trade and investment.
