Mining Indaba 2025 enters day 2 with discussions revolving around the future of African mining

The 31st edition of Investing in African Mining Indaba 2025 has entered day two in Cape Town, South Africa with discussions revolving around the future of mining in the continent.

The annual international conference on mining investment in Africa which started on Monday 3rd will be running through Thursday 6th of this month at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) under the theme: “Preparing for the future of mining in Africa, today!”.

The event seeks to unite investors, financiers, operators, suppliers, and mining and exploration companies.

Over four days, participants will engage in unmatched transactions and lead discussions shaping the industry, fostering business relationships, and driving investment to transform Africa.

Each year, this gathering brings together industry leaders, investors, regulators, and experts to address current challenges and explore future opportunities in the mining sector.

The first day featured an opening ceremony that kicked off an exciting week of innovative sessions and dynamic networking opportunities.

The event program also includes an investment session focusing on the commodities outlook, where global investors and consultants will share their forecasts for the metals and mining sectors in 2025.

Participants will continue to explore solutions implemented by miners, governments, and local leaders to enhance resilience and mitigate climate change.

The program also includes an Intergovernmental Summit on African Mining Policy and Values, where African governments will discuss efforts to add value to local minerals. This presents an opportunity to promote sustainable investments while ensuring transparency and fairness.

The International Mining Indaba conference focuses on capitalizing on and advancing mining interests across Africa.
