Hipo Resources Limited has made public the latest site visit tothe Kamola Lithium Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Last year, the company had executed a joint venture agreement with Crown Mining Sarl, where the company has a potential to earn a 60% interest in Kamola.
According to media reports, a more comprehensive mapping and sampling program following on from the previous report by the Kweneng Group was carried out by Minex Consulting SARL, South African consulting geologists.
The three permits, which are located 51km SW of Manono on the western border of Tanganyika Province, were visited by Minex Consulting in the course of last month. Traverses were also conducted over the locations where significant lithium tests had previously been obtained by Kweneng Group. There were also survey visits over the areas of known tin-tantalite mineralization on some areas.
The next stage exploration activity would include a targeted 1,200m reverse circulation-drilling programme.
The company is now waiting for the evaluation results from the sampling program, and a drill program is planned following the end of the wet season. The company will report the analysis results as soon as they become available.
