Government authorities and institutional representatives from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa will participate in the World Mining Congress 2026 (WMC 2026), taking place June 24–26, 2026, at the Lima Convention Center. The event consolidates Peru’s position as host of one of the main international discussions on the future of the mining industry.

To date, government representatives and authorities from Guatemala, Bolivia, Poland, Malaysia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ghana have confirmed their participation in the roundtables organized as part of the event. WMC 2026 also has the support of Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These authorities will contribute to an agenda focused on the future of the global mining industry, shaped by the energy transition and the need to ensure the supply of critical minerals. In this way, the event highlights Peru’s role as a strategic partner in the development plans of these countries.

For Peru, a country recognized for its potential and leadership in the production of strategic minerals, hosting WMC 2026 is an opportunity to strengthen its position on the international mining map. It creates a space where key industry stakeholders can exchange experiences and promote partnerships. To date, professionals from 50 countries have already registered for the event.

Under the theme “Mining for the Future: Trust, Transformation and Technology,” the congress aims to promote a shared vision of a mining industry prepared to face future challenges, based on trust, technological transformation, and sustainable value creation.

Organized by the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP), World Mining Congress 2026 will position Lima as a meeting point for the global mining community and reaffirm Peru’s role as a key player in shaping the future of the minerals the world needs. More information at: www.wmc2026.org
