DISA Equipment valued being at Electra Mining Africa 2026, with the team highlighting a strong equipment heritage – extending from Daewoo through Doosan to Develon. This legacy is supported by a distribution relationship that has strengthened since 1998.
The company’s brand evolution journey formed the central theme of the company’s participation at the exhibition. Under the message “Trust carried forward”, DISA Equipment showed how the equipment brands and technology have developed, while its local customer relationships, product support and commitment to the Southern African market, are firmly established.
Visitors to the company’s stand in the new outdoor Orange Zone were able to inspect a Develon DL420-7M wheel loader and DX530LC-7M crawler excavator. These machines represent two important parts of a wide range that includes tracked excavators, wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks and backhoe loaders for mining, construction, earthmoving and infrastructure applications.
Live demonstrations of the MY DEVELON fleet-management system added a digital dimension to the equipment display. These presentations provided an opportunity for customers to discuss the role of fleet-management technology, alongside the practical requirements of keeping equipment productive and properly supported in demanding operating environments.

The history behind the DISA Equipment name began in South Africa in 1998, when the business was established as Daewoo Heavy Industries South Africa. The company became Doosan Infracore South Africa in 2005 and began trading as DISA Equipment in 2008.
The Develon name, which was established in 2023, combines “Develop” and “Onwards”, expressing the brand’s emphasis on continued development and progress.
Throughout these changes, DISA Equipment has provided continuity for customers throughout Southern Africa. Today, the company is the official distributor of Develon and Everdigm mining and construction equipment and attachments across the region.
The product portfolio extends beyond complete machines, to specialised hydraulic attachments, including breakers, quick couplers and other attachments developed to enhance productivity in different applications. DISA Equipment also provides genuine parts, scheduled maintenance, technical support, repairs, application-specific advice, on-site commissioning and machine training awareness.
