Coca-Cola Zambia is putting refreshment on the move with the launch of Ride Na Coke, an exciting new campaign that brings the magic of Coca-Cola’s Returnable Glass Bottle (RGB) to Zambia’s busiest bus routes.

Rooted in the popular saying “Yamu Botolo Ni Laaast” – meaning “the last sip is the sweetest” the campaign celebrates the refreshing taste and uplifting feeling that only Coca-Cola in a glass bottle can deliver, while treating commuters to a free bus ride and an unforgettable experience.

This phrase captures what makes Coca-Cola in a glass bottle special: crisp, bold, and nostalgic. It’s more than a drink; it’s a moment to enjoy the refreshing taste of a Coca-Cola drink. With this campaign, consumers have the opportunity to enjoy Coca-Cola in its most classic form while
unlocking a free bus ride.

In partnership with the Public Bus Drivers Association, the campaign invites consumers to:

1. Buy a Coca-Cola in a returnable glass bottle at designated bus station sales points.
2. Present it to the Coca-Cola activation team and receive a voucher for your bus fare.
3. Hand the voucher to the conductor for a free ride.
4. Conductors collect the bottles and are celebrated as official “Yamu Botolo Heroes.”

The mechanic is simple, fun, and designed to spread joy on the go, blending refreshment, nostalgia, and local culture in one memorable experience.

The Yamu Botolo Ni Lassst experience is hitting the streets, and everyone’s invited. From Lusaka’s bustling taxi ranks to the heart of Kabwe’s shopping centres, Coca-Cola is bringing music, games, and ice-cold glass bottles straight to the people. Expect pop-up moments, giveaways, and plenty of “lassst!” energy as fans come together to celebrate the taste they LOVE.

Keep your eyes on our social pages to find out when the red wave lands in your city, Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, and more. When you see the iconic Coke crew and hear the beats, you’ll know it’s your turn to say, “Yamu Botolo Ni Lassst!”

Each location will be transformed into an uplifting Coca-Cola experience, complete with music, DJs, MCs, giveaways, and interactive games, turning ordinary commutes into moments of excitement, connection, and refreshment.

“We wanted to bring the great taste of Coca-Cola in a glass bottle right into the heart of Zambia’s daily life,” said Faith Nehanda, Senior Manager, Frontline Marketing, Coca-Cola Zambia. “Ride Na Coke is about connection, community, and celebrating Coke in a bottle in a way that feels truly Zambian.”

Commuters and fans are encouraged to share their Ride Na Coke experiences using the hashtags: #YamuBotoloNiLast , #RideNaCoke , #CocaColaZM
