In less than a week’s time, the largest mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power and transport trade show in sub-Saharan Africa will open its doors at the NASREC Expo Centre in Johannesburg from September 2 to 6. Also BKT, the leading Off-Highway tire manufacturer, will show presence at Electra Mining Africa 2024 along with Tubestone, its distributor for South Africa and Namibia, by showcasing some of its top products that that are part of a wide range of highly specialized tires and specifically designed to meet the complex needs of the mining industry.

The tire has been specifically designed for rigid dump trucks operating under conditions such as in rocky environments that require maximum resistance against cuts and punctures. This radial tire features a tread depth class E-4 and a specific tread pattern to reduce wear and to ensure a longer product life-cycle, providing hence greater productivity. Also part of the EARTHMAX range, and a specific mining tire, is EARTHMAX SR 32 sized 33.25 R 29. This non-directional, wide-base radial tire is particularly suitable for dozers. Like all tires of the EARTHMAX range, it features a robust All Steel casing that along with its highly cut-and-puncture-resistant compound stands for a long tire life. The tire is, indeed, an extraordinarily durable product that provides superior traction and flotation even during the harshest operations. To complete the EARTHMAX range, there will be EARTHMAX SR 431 for rigid haul trucks operating in severe mining conditions, and EARTHMAX SR 42 specially engineered for haul trains in mining and logging applications. The distinctive tread design provides outstanding traction and lateral stability as well as good performance on rough and gravel terrains even on ice and snow.
Last but not least, visitors will also find LOADER SPECIAL (L-5), among the BKT products on display at Electra Mining Africa 2024. This cross-ply loader tire is highly efficient for heavy rock operations. Its excellent traction and exceptional cut resistance will certainly boost your productivity.
