Asante Gold Corporation has maintained a combined 4.6 million ounces of Measured and Indicated (M&I) Mineral Resources at its Bibiani and Chirano gold mines in Ghana, despite producing more than 430,000 ounces from the two operations over the past two years.

The company announced the updated resource figures following the filing of independently coordinated NI 43-101 technical reports for both mines, effective December 31, 2025. The reports estimate Mineral Resources using a gold price assumption of US$2,500 per ounce and Mineral Reserves at US$2,100 per ounce.

Asante reported 4.595 million ounces of M&I Resources across the two mines, alongside 1.795 million ounces of Inferred Resources and 2.83 million ounces of Mineral Reserves. The company said the resource base remains open at depth and along strike across the more than 80-kilometre Chirano-Bibiani Corridor.

Chirano accounts for 2.53 million ounces of M&I Resources and 830,000 ounces of Inferred Resources, while its 1.30 million ounces of Mineral Reserves support a current seven-year mine life. More than 66,900 metres of drilling since Asante acquired Chirano in 2022 has contributed to resource growth across Obra, Sariehu, Suraw and Akoti South.

At Bibiani, M&I Resources stand at 2.06 million ounces, with 965,000 ounces of Inferred Resources and 1.53 million ounces of Mineral Reserves supporting a current nine-year mine-life plan. Underground development is scheduled to begin in late 2026.

Bibiani’s resource and reserve figures declined during the reporting period, reflecting open-pit depletion, constrained exploration spending and geological model refinements. However, Asante said drilling has confirmed further opportunities for open-pit and underground resource growth.

The Main Pit remains open at depth, with mineralization confirmed to approximately 650 metres below surface and geological interpretation indicating potential to at least 1,400 metres. A 2026-27 drilling programme will test deeper targets, including the North, Central and South Deeps.

“These updated, independently coordinated and prepared technical reports underscore the inherent quality of Asante’s geological endowment in the Chirano-Bibiani Corridor, and reinforce the thesis for long-term potential at our Chirano and Bibiani operations. Despite mineral inventory depletion from producing over 430,000 ounces across both mines in the past two years, we have maintained our combined Measured and Indicated Resource base. This is a reassuring reflection of the quality of our near-mine exploration pipeline at both Bibiani and Chirano,” said Malik Easah, Asante Chairman while commenting on the updated figures.

He added that exploration activity at Bibiani had been constrained during 2024-2025 but that an enhanced exploration budget is planned, while both operations remain open at depth along the corridor.

Asante also views the broader Chirano-Bibiani Corridor as a significant exploration opportunity. The company controls more than 937 square kilometres of combined tenure across the corridor, which has historically produced more than eight million ounces of gold.

The company plans continued near-mine and greenfields exploration through 2026 and beyond as it seeks to expand its resource base and develop the long-term potential of its Ghanaian operations.
