Luanda welcomes 200 participants, 50 companies, 30 delegates and 13 countries for the second edition of the Business Opportunities in Angola Seminar, organised by Angolan Business Beyond Borders (ABBB) and Rei Design, a meeting focused on securing investment and partnerships in strategic sectors of the Angolan economy, on 30 April at the HCTA.
The event aims to bridge the gap between business potential and actual investment at a crucial juncture where are the attraction of foreign capital and economic diversification being prioritised, although operational barriers, financing challenges and investors’ perception of risk remain.
With sectors such as agriculture, energy, industry and infrastructure offering new growth opportunities, ABBB serves as a direct link between international investors and concrete projects in the Angolan market, facilitating partnerships, accelerating decision-making and shortening the time between initial contact and the execution of the investment.
“Angola is entering a decisive phase in its economic trajectory, where diversification depends on concrete implementation. We have created a direct point of contact between international investors and real opportunities in the country, focusing on decisions that translate into concrete investment in the short and medium term. In this second edition, we are strengthening the international presence and the quality of interactions to turn interest into partnerships and new projects,” said Nanette Solange dos Santos, President of ABBB.
This edition has seen a 30% increase compared to the first and brings together 50 companies and 30 delegates active in the energy, Oil & Gas, infrastructure, logistics, transport, tourism and education sectors. Confirmed delegations come from South Africa, Belgium, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, the United Arab Emirates, France, Mauritius, Mauritania, Poland, Portugal, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Switzerland.
“Initiatives and projects that bring stakeholders together, align supply with demand and facilitate business relationships accelerate decision-making and make projects with real economic impact viable,” says Kamel Kabbani, CEO of Réi Design.
The programme is organised into three sector-specific panels and a component of private B2B meetings. The morning is open, featuring market analysis, sessions with experts, and question-and-answer sessions. From early afternoon, the format becomes restricted, with direct meetings between international decision-makers and Angolan counterparts with investment power. The model includes pre- and post-event support to convert contacts into operational partnerships.
