Aggreko is proud to announce a new five-year partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, a national organisation that improves the education, life skills, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
The partnership will see Aggreko support Clontarf’s network of over 160 academies across Australia, providing students with mentoring, career exposure, and employment pathways in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
The Clontarf Foundation was established in 2000 to give greater opportunities to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men through education, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects. Today the foundation employs over 600 dedicated staff who support more than 12,000 boys in schools across Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
George Whyte, Managing Director of Aggreko Australia Pacific, said: “We’re honoured to partner with the Clontarf Foundation and play a role in supporting the next generation of First Nations leaders. As Aggreko commences its third Reconciliation Action Plan, this partnership aligns with our values and our commitment to long-term community impact, particularly in the remote locations where we operate.”
Clontarf Foundation CEO Gerard Neesham welcomed the partnership: “Aggreko’s support will help us continue to deliver life-changing programs to thousands of young men across the country. We look forward to working together to create real opportunities for our academy members.”
